what type of socket do i need to remove my bed bolts on a 97. At first i thought they were star but they seem fatter than the stars and my star kept slipping out

My 99 is a Torx. Probably round a size 45. Oh yeah, get under the truck and soak the threads with PB blaster and wait a day before you try anything. Many people end up stripping the head, and drilling em out, so be prepared.
