Flag Mount??

Well I have been going to the beach quite a bit lately and I am wanting to put a FORD flag in the bed of my truck and I dont know how I can do this. Does anyone know an easy way that it will mount in there? Like something you can make that you just put in there when you want the flag or something like that? I want it towards the middle or back of the bed of the truck.

Maybe there's a product out there - never seen one, but maybe. If I was going to rig something up from scratch that was temporary (ie removable), I might try the following:

**warning: very, very cheesy solution**
Find a PVC plumbing "T" that is slightly larger in diameter than your flagpole. Drill a hole in the "T" portion so that you can easily secure your flag with screws. Attach the plumbing "T" to a shower rod. Secure it to the bar with epoxy/rubber cement/gorilla glue/screws/etc so the "T" portion is set at the desired flag angle (~45-60 degrees?) Affix the bar across the bed, positioned as close to the bed floor as possible. Install flag and secure with screws. Head out.
Dear Lord, I can't believe I'm suggesting that publicly.

Another thought - maybe use a fishing rod mount?

If you have a bed extender, you could zip tie some PVC or a fishing rod holder to it and use that as the mount for a flag pole.

just a thought...

i have one- its 2 eye bolts in the tool box (which is bolted in). there are 2 holes in the pole right below the eye bolts that i put hitch pins in to keep the pole from flying out. its a solid mount and would work. if you want something that comes out of the back of the truck you can just weld something up that will go into the trailer hitch and mount a flag to it.

I assume your talking about a full size flag not a small ATV style whip? I made one a pole that bolts onto a hitch so I can easily take it on and off just by sliding it in my receiver.

It's not the best pic, but basically all I did was stick the flag poles into the stake pockets and use multiple zip ties to hold them in. Works great but If you drive far with them (like I did) it will tear the flags up.
