front plate bracket removal

Since I dont plan to put a plate infront and Pennsylvania does not require a front license plate ( thank god ) I want to remove mine, problem is, what the hell is keeping it ontop? i fitted a socket wrench up there and nothings grabbing, i know how to take the bottom things out, but how do I take the plate bracket out?

On my 2001 Screw, the bracket was riveted (metal) on. I simply drilled out the rivets, and popped it off.

Yeah, it's a little tight getting a drill bit on it. I came up through the opening in the air dam after punching a starter nick with a metal punch tool. This way the drill doesn't wander since you have to come at it from an angle.

Mine was bolted on Why don't you just chisel/cut off the bracket flush with the bumper?

Yo, please dont cheisel it, and if you cant do it any other way, cheisel it from the back side, just infront of the bolt/rivet whatever is up there, and then just slide the bracket out.

I just ripped the plastic pieces off with pliers. Not the proper way, but it got it off of there.
