Question Maaco?

Hey guys im a new member and just wanted to say this is a great site with a lot of great information! I have a question about Maaco...Im looking to get the signature series paint job done on my truck and just wanted to know if anyone has any experience with the Maaco in Amarillo, Texas. I hear that the signature series paint job is the best and you can also purchase a prep package for about $200.00. What all do they do to prep the vehicle and what should i do to prep it? Is it really worth it to go with Maaco, ive heard a lot of negitive comments about it but the positive comments have been from people who have bought the signature series....any information would help a lot..thanks!

please stay away from maaco. my bro had his car painted there TWICE the first time went to crap after about 3 months (intercoat clear) the second only lasted a year.(base clear) he painted his car black both times and the second time was supposed to be their "best" too, and I admit after it was painted and wet sended (VERY important) it looked awesome. now it looks like poo. lost all the shine. all the depth. its chipping off and looks horrible. no amount of wax can fix it. I even tried aggessivly buffing it with maching polish and a dual action buffers. nope. that didn't work either. please please PLEASE, if you are looking to keep your truck have it painted at a local bodyshop that has a good rep. it might cost you a little or alot more but it's worth it

You'd have better luck painting it with finger paints... Maaco is terrible.

We had a vehicle painted by them several years ago... and within two years most of the paint had peeled off..... you get what you pay for ...STAY AWAY!!!!
