02 supercrew power window problem

My passenger side power window is making a horrible sound. It doesn't do it every time but it does it maybe every 5th or 6th time. The horrible sound only happens going down. The window going up sounds fine. How hard is it to replace the motor guys? I am a farely decent mechanic but I've never even thought of a job like this. Any ideas or has anyone replaced one of these yet?

Probably needs a regulator. You can try spraying all the running parts of the regulator assembly with some kinda white lithium grease, this usually fixes 'em temporarily, but ultimately you may have to replace the window regulator itself. They aren't too bad to do, just be forewarned that the regulator itself is spring loaded, take care when unbolting the motor from the regulator. The regulator is held in with pop rivets, you'll need to drill these out to remove the regulator.

The motor itself however can be serviced with the regulator in the truck. You'll need a 3/4" hole saw to cut holes in the door so you can get to the bolts that hold the motor to the glass.
