Been robbed again!!

Okay who here has had their 97-2003 F150 broken into? I mean This is the 2nd time it happens to me the same way! And everytime I tell somebody(cops, friends, etc.) they all say that the 97-03 is easy to break into thru the door handles. Is this true? The thieves just used a flat screwdiver to pry up the plastic door handle where the lock is, then you can see the exposed rods that unlock the door!! Anybody else know anything!?

thanks Gobra! Thats what I'm gonna get. Even though it won't stop them from jamming the screwdriver in the lock and turning it until it breaks, at least it'll stop them from pry the door seam.
Any idea how much I should pay for them? The guys who fixed my locks and doors said they'd put the on for $20.

How much does it cost to have the "Jimi Jammer" installed? Less than a hundred bucks?

shred guy. On getting more coverage for lost items. If you have renters insurance that might give you a little mover coverage or if you have home owner insurance that might help you out. Sorry to hear about the break in. My wifes 01 excursion was borken into an all the stole were the 6.5 inch consoles I installed into the seats. Good luck. Also if it was broken into in a secure area the place might have insurance that could help you out also. Good luck

Yeah, $100 deductable is better than my $500 I used to have Home owners insurance but we don't have it anymore cuz we coul'd afford it They told me if I had it they would pay for it all, instead they estimated that to repaint the door, replace 2 lock cylinders, 1 door handle and replace my CD player would cost $636. So they cut me a check for $136. Friggin' crooks Instead I got some homies to fix it for $295. They sold me the 2 Locks, and a door handle installed.
I priced the JimmiJammer from $30-100 for 97-03 model, but the only place that has it instock wants $45. The same homies will install it for $20.

Wow. I can't believe that jimmi-jammer isn't stock. It makes too much sense.

It just might qualify for a passive anti-theft discount on your insurance as well...
