n00b: Another easy question

2005 5.4 SuperCrew XLT.
I like the FX4 Grille with the vertical "Slats" better than my XLT's big 80's style honeycomb grille.

Will the FX4 Grille fit right into the XLT model? Measurement-wise the same?

TIA
Paul

It's all the same. You have 2 options. Find an FX4 insert that someone has taken out of their vehicle or buy the whole thing, including the surround either from someone else or from Ford. Should be able to get the whole grill/surround from Ford in your color for about $75. Maybe less if you are on good terms with your dealer's parts dept.

ditto on Kingfish's answer, although I wanna know where he can get that kind of a deal for 75 bucks! My uncle bought an XLT and did the same thing except 75 was more like 175 from what I heard. He isn't a very nice person, and has no idea about cars/trucks, so those two things probably factored a bit into his bottom line. Call your dealer's parts or aftermarket department and they should be able to help you.

Maybe it was more, can't remember as it was almost 2 years ago I bought my extra XLT grille.
