Barbwire Pinstripe

1) I live in Garland Texas, doses anyone know where I can get some Barbwire Pinstripe and about how much I will pay.

2) I have some stripping already on my truck where the blue meets the silver, what is the best way to remove that stripping with out damaging the paint so I can replace it with the barbwire stripping I am looking for.

remove with a heat gun/hairdryer. As long as you dont focus the heat on a specific area (move the gun around a lot) you should not damage the paint at all. Remember, you are heating the pin stripe just enough to loosen the adhesive (not melt the pinstripe)

Let us know how you make out.

Hey TexWolf, both paint & body shops here can order it; a buddy of mine just had it put on his truck. I don't know what he paid for it, but I just had a dual stripe put on mine (down both sides and tailgate) and it was only $25.00 installed. I'll see if I can get a price and will repost. But you might want to just make a couple of phone calls, price may be different in your area.

TXwolf,

Just thought I would add my 2 cents...I dont know if you have an Advance Auto store where you are, but I have seen what you are looking for there. In fact, they had a very nice selection of pinstriping, barbed wire included.

If your going to a auto paint supply , ask them for an eraser wheel you can mount in a drill. it's a rubber eraser that takes of all kinds aof stripesand two sided tape residue after you pull off body side mldgs. we use a professional style in the body shop but do-it yourselfers can get one to mount in a drill.
