Smile Dump Bed Kit

Has anyone seen a converted dump bed for our pick-up and if so does it seem to work pretty good. I found this site you all may want to look at. http://www.stealthdumptrucks.com/

personally, I'd rather get a read dump bed with heavier guage metal if I was to actually haul anything that required dumping (like gravel). This type of load would screw up your bed.

I'm new so bear with me.

I have a venco dump kit on my 95 with an 8' bed. Been there since the truck was new. Works great!! Only ever had one problem...the hydro oil tank rusted out due to the location it was installed in. (under the bed behind the passenger) Maine winters are not nice on things located under the truck.

Got a new oil tank and located it inside the cab behine the seat. Now you hear a little noise when you dump, but it only takes about 15 seconds to fully dump the bed.

The web address for the pick-up dump kits is: http://www.venturo.com/demo/products/venco_pickup.htm

I have contacted them a couple time via email and they have been very helpful.

Hope this is helpful to you.

The only downside to it is that you need to tip the bed up to refuel. The fuel filler tubes are removed and you fill the tanks right at the tank. So if you are in a rush to get fuel and get moving... sorry, someone is bound to come over and ask about the dump kit.
