Red face Yikes, rusty dings!

I was washing my 2000 F-150 yesterday and was surprised to find two little dings in the bumper that already had a bit of rust.

I have the sport package, which includes the color keyed bumpers (black), so these dings were really hard to see. I must have missed these when they happened, and I haven't had a chance to detail the truck in months.

Is there something I can do to fix this myself? What will it cost....? Thanks!

I have a trick that is right up your alley. It costs an old toothbrush. Get your favorite flavor toothpaste (has to be flouride), and put some on that old nasty toothbrush and work it into the chip. Keep scrubbing (it takes a little while) and most of the rust will come out. This will give you enough time to patch it with some touch-up paint. That costs about $4.50 a bottle last time I checked. Hope this works!
