Angry '90 F150 Lariat XLT BUmper

i got this truck shipped from florida to the V.I. it was used and abused apparently. Its a 1990 F-150 Lariat XLT, the former owner really screwed the **** out of it. It had a brand new head unit w/ a cut wire harness, they plugged the vacuum lines w/ pieces of wood, the whole 9. anyways, someone hit the front yesterday and the bumper was hanging by one bolt on the bottom, the other bottom bolt sheared right thru the metal, probably due to the fact that there were NO top bolt anywhere 2 be found. also, the bumper brace/support thing that it bolts onto was replaced to, and the bolt that attach that to frame, were installed with the bolt heads facing out, while on the other brace, the end of the bolts were facing out. So whoever had this truck b4 was a real asspad. my problem is weve got the new bolts 2 reintall the bumper, but how the hell do they go in? do they go thru the plate on front of the brace? the plate i think is used to adjust the height of the bumper on each side. but both plates are tilted outward at the top a good bit. are they supposed 2 b like that? can some1 help me out or tell where i can find a online manual that explains this ****??? i'd really appreciate it...

the bolts should line up with the holes. straight swap like Lego.

You mentioned someone hit the truck. One thing about the 87-96 truck is that the bumpers bend down towards the ground when hit. Sounds like maybe the munting points are bent from that collision.
