2004 F150 Supercab rear door windows

Just installed power rear door windows in my 2004 F-150 XL Supercab. Originally the windows did NOT open at all. After pulling the door panels off I found there was a manual regulator inside. The only way to get them to work was to plug a torx into the regulator. No handle was included. Not enough room on the door cover either. So I looked everywhere and found the power regulators for what I believe was a King Ranch model. Together they only cost me $171.22 shipped. They mounted right in place of the unusable manual regulators. I had to run power to the doors but that was easy to get. I bought two GM style single power window switches and after cutting the proper size hole in the door cover they just plugged into it. The wiring is straight forward.

The place I got the two regulators from was here:
http://www.fordpartsnetwork.com

They are listed in their Collision Catalog under rear door.

Power right - Super Cab 2004
Power left - Super Cab 2004

The Left side Ford part number is 4L3Z-1827001-AA
The right side Ford part number is 4L3Z-1827000-AA

Price right: $90.72, left $72.51, shipping $7.99

Now I may follow up on power windows for the front doors. This was a fun project.

Kinda strange

Yes I would have thought Ford would have chosen to design a simple mount to hold the back door windows in one position. I was taken aback when I first removed the door panels and found the original manual requlator that could never be operated. I thought "Why the heck did they do that?!" and does it really work. Well yes it worked but there was no way I could think of to make up something in the way of a window handle that could work in a small space or that would look good. I spent some time looking around at window kits but no one had any for the rear Supercab doors.

I got lucky in finding the original parts at the source I gave above. Drove with ALL the windows down yesterday and it was really kinda nice. Getting a new camera in a few days as I destroyed mine a few weeks ago after dropping it off a Microwave Radio tower. Hope to get some pictures.

I dropped a couple of door pictures in my photo gallery. Shows window down and half up plus where I mounted the switch. No sure how to post them here with a message.
