Another bumper conversion question--->

I've seen alot of discussion on converting 97 model bumper/grille to 99; however, I haven't seen much on switching from later model to earlier. I have a 2001 4x2 Supercrew, and I would like to put the bumper/grille from an earlier (I guess 97, 98) F150 4x4. Has anybody done this? I checked the archives and found Lightning conversions and a bunch of early to late model conversions, but nothing about this. Any input/advice? Thanks for any help.
