Question Dumb question

Need to know how tall my XLT off road w/17" tires is which is scheduled to be built on June 6, hopefully with the correct radiator. Need to fit it in a garage!

When I test drove my truck, I just took it home and pulled it in the garage to make sure it fit. They let me take it for 24hrs. Had to sign a bunch of releases, but was the only way to know. Just off the top of my head, the height should be around 6'-3" and the length around 18-19'. Just guessing on the length, but pretty sure on the height, because that's how tall I am. I have a 7'x18' door and the garage is 25' long. Fits fine (antenna hits the door), but is kinda tight with the wifes car in there too.

I almost envy you guys with the 6'3"s...my new F-350 that I am ordering sits 6'8" and once I get the new tires and lift kit, it is gonna be sitting at 7'1". Unless I have a garage built, its sitting outside. Since I am so tall, I want my new truck to sit higher than me so I can feel intimidated. LOL

I'd agree with mitch. I'm 5'10" and it's a little bit taller than me.

Thumbs up

I have a '00 XL 4x4 (no ORP) with 16" wheels and it stands 6'-3.5". You would probably be looking at 6'-5" for yours.

I built a garage with an 8' high door so I can still fit in if I get a canopy that sits higher than the cab.

I don't know off hand how tall the truck is, but my garage door is no more then 7 ft. tall. I have a 98 with the ORP (see sig) and other then the antenna hitting the door, it fits fine. I've solved that problem as well by buying a shorter antenna! I don't think you should have any problems. If you do, just take your tires off and wheel it in on jacks! LOL! I've been waiting for someone to install a lift kit in their garage and then can't drive it out 'cause it's too tall.......Anyone have that experience yet?

No lift kit, but I do have to watch out when I jack it up in the garage. Got real close to the opener one time. Nothing better then to be able to work on your rig out of the weather!! Especially in the Great North West. Rains alot, but I stay dry!! Can watch TV too!!

(My Signature pic will be smaller. I am trying to find a program to edit it with.)
