Question Mirror extensions????

I bought a pull behind camper this spring and was wondering if there was such a thing as mirror extensions that can fit on or over your existing remote control mirrors that look good? Seems to me I saw something like that somewhere. Or does anyone have any better suggestions. Don't want to have to clamp on those ugly chrome mirrors like your grandpa had when he hitched up the silverstream behind the "family truckster"!! (ya know, the Griswalds, Vacation, Chevy Chase, now that was a vacation cruiser!)

Thanks for any input!!

Yea! Something like that. Still kinda aftermarket looking though. Was hoping for something a little more factory looking. But they would work.
Do they stay on ok? Looks like a lot wind resistance.
Do you worry about them scratching your existing mirrors?
I assume they can be painted to match?
Are they made of plastic?

Thanks for your reply!

They stay on with tention applied to the mirror with that screw on the back. They did scratch my chrome mirrors but only I can see it, so most people would say they don't scratch. I guess you could paint them, they are textured so it might not stay or look right. I just took them off when we got to the campgrounds I also took off the hitch ball and put in the ford plug They didn't vibrate at all with my 4 hour drives.

Well I don't know if it's possible. But if you can get the tow mirrors that are available on the Super Duties, that would work awesome. The F-350 I am getting will have them and the reason I like em, is that you can push them in when you're not towing anything and then pull em out when you are. You could probably have them mounted on yours through a dealer. But maybe not...I don't know for sure.

I do know that I love the tow mirrors on the SDs.

Yes Big one, I've seen those mirrors, and they're slick! Wouldn't want to loose my remote control mirrors though. Anyway, not sure if they would even work and I'm sure they'd be expensive. I guess I'm looking for a nice looking, streamlined, add-on thing if it exists.
Thanks again!!

You might try the Muth website. I can't remember the exact address...something like www.rwmuth.com I seem to remember seeing slide on extentions there. As I understand it, they are the manufacturers of the Signal Mirrors that are available on F150's. Just something to try.
