i have a 89 f150 extra cab 4x4 and i was wondering how hard it would be to install a 3in body lift myself?i would also like to know what ic ould do to make the truck look better since i will be going offroading in it.

Hey,
It shouldn't be that hard to do. Set aside a weekend to do it and have some buddies help you out. You will definatly need their help. I would suggest using a performance accessories kit that can be purchased from places like 4 wheel parts or summit racing. They will have kits especially for your truck. About a week before you do the project soak all the mounting bolts with some pb blaster or wd-40 so they will break loose easier. Have a good set of tools and possibly some air tools. I did a 3" lift on my 97 f150 and we had to use a torch to heat the bolts to get them loose. Overall it took me 22 hours to complete my lift but I ran into every problem you can think of. GOOD LUCK!!
