More @#$!%!! Cracks!
Has anyone else noticed that on the top of the cabs (where the groove is that keeps water from running down your neck) that there appear to be cracks forming along the welds?? My uncle has a '98 supercab that has already started to rust along these forming cracks. I can't really tell that any have started on my '99 but I found this to be rather disturbing. Any one else notice this?

I have gutter cracks & door cracks too - both doors. I'm confident the truck will run for a long time - I just hope I have a truck body around me while I drive it! Yes it is a shame. I wish Ford would do something to fix them but they won't. It's not a "safety" issue.

Yep me too. I went to the dealer (Keystone Ford, Wpg) last July 4, to get the door crack looked into. of course there was no real fix yet so they wrote up a work order will it was still under warranty....THEY pointed out the paint peeling on the roof seems, the rust on the bottom of the doors, AND the funny star shaped marks on the rear quarter panels. Apparently stones kicked up by the rear tires hit the inside of the rear sheetmetal and chip the paint from behind. And yeah, I have mudflaps on ! He, (Tom the body manager) said there was a fix for that too. When does this crap end ?
I'm still waiting for paycheque from Ford for all the work as a test driver. (lol)
Hey Cowlady, I like your new cow ! Too cute to eat that one !

I had a 98 supercab and it had the gutter cracks on both sides..they were just starting..but ran the entire length of the cab on the drivers side. Coworker just bought a 98 supercab..which has the same cracks..and they looked like there was some rust starting.
If you look at the Tundra or the Silverado..they have a rubber/plastic strip in both of these joints..I'm assuming to help hide a defect like this. When I had my 98..I actually had the idea to purchase a set from the Toyota dealership. $75.00 each side. RIGHT! "Japanese" rubber sure is expensive!
