Post door rust

I have a 1998 f150 lariat with door rust on the lower inside panal along the seam. I was told by Ford tha they would have to open the seam to clean and repair it .They also told me that the rust was a commen problem with ford but havent been able to identify the problem or to correct it properly. I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE ELSE HAD SAME TYPE OF RUST PROBLEM?

I have not had this problem, however, a number of people have on here. Some have taken their trucks in to have this fixed...some have even been fortunate to have their entire doors replaced. It depends on the dealer.

I have the same problem with reust and also Door crack. The dealers around me basically told me that there hands were tied and they could do no repairs, Unless I wanted to fork over some cash. Although, even with the cracks and rust, I wouldn't trade it for anything except a new Super Crew.

I have had the same issue with rust as well as the back window leaking. My dealer said there was nothing they could do. But there should be a recall or something, it's rediculous!
