Removing bed

How hard is it to remove the bed??? I've got some fuel system work to be done on my 95 I6 with dual tanks. I really abhor dropping the gas tank...done it on this truck and also my tbird. I know it's just strapped in but I'm wondering if it'd be worth it to remove the bed so I can have easy access to the top of the fuel tank. Anybody done this?
TIA
tbird

I have not done this either, but thinking the same thing as you. I too have some fuel pump work to do. The manual shows 6 bolts and the filler neck. Maybe someone with more experiance will chime in here and help us out.

Not too hard at all, just make sure you have a few sets of hands.
When I did my body lift I went ahead and took the bed completely off to do some cosmetic work to the frame area. Just as you would if you were doing a body lift though, spray the living hell out of the bolts the day before, if you dont they are a bitch to remove. Trust me I speak from experience.!!!

I forgot I started this thread...hehe.

I got my brother over and we did it pretty quick. For those of you, like me, who hate dropping has tanks, this is the way to go.
