Question Where is the TSB on the door cracks?

I remember seeing on here awhile ago the actual tsb issued by ford that went over the different steps for the cracked doors. I went in to the dealership and they are saying it doesnt exsist. I would like to print out a copy so I can take it to them. I had a feeling they were going to tell me this and I would like to have the printed copy. I've searched under door cracks and cant find it. If anyone has a link it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I just had mine done . . this was the link I used:

http://www.ultranet.com/~peloqun/doorcrack.html

I've sent a note to F150online and performance products about updating the page-one article on door cracks to reflect the most recent information. (the guy who wrote the article is from Performance Products . . he replied to me but said F150online would have to update it . . I haven't heard anything back from F150online)

I got a feeling the link above will get shut down if too many folks start accessing it (it looks like a personal account).

My dealer didn't know anything about it until I have him this exact information.

I was able to find this information without too much trouble by using the search utility.

I called my dealer up this afternoon and talked to the body shop. They knew exactly what I was talking about. He said they just ordered two kits for another owner. I'm going to bring my truck in tomorrow for them to look at it, they will then order a couple of kits for my doors, and give me a call when they come in. He said it would take about 3 days to do the work. Apparently the doors have to be gutted to put the reinforcing brackets in, and I have power windows.

I have about an 1/8" (it hasn't rounded the corner onto the face of the sheet metal yet) crack in the driver's door and none in the passenger's door (yet).

Question

Ok Im confused. My truck has been in the shop since tuesday "waiting for parts" and everyday I have called about the door crack issue. At first he said he would look for it. He said they didnt find anything. So then he asked me for the TSB number and I have it to him (01-2-6). He then said they couldnt find anything under that number. So now Im startin to get pissed. I called up ford customer service and asked them about it and they also said they cant find anything about a TSB for door cracks or anything under TSB 01-2-6. I have a '98 and mine havent cracked yet and I want the preventative fix put in so that they dont. However no one seems to know whats going on at ford. How is everyone getting this work done? I guess the only thing I can do is print out a copy of the TSB and shove it in their face and see if that gets anything done.

Well, I hope I didn't get the brush off from the body shop this afternoon. I'll know more tomorrow after I take it in for them to look at.

BTW, the part# is 1L3Z-15202W06-AA. Maybe they can cross-reference it from that.
