Angry Rear bumper rusting????

What have you guys with duals out the back done about the rear bumper rusting. I get rust spots just above where the exhaust exits.

Any ideas, other than wax the crap out of it. (That's what i currently do.)

Question

What style truck is it? I`ve had mine replaced once under warr. And now the replacement is rusting too. So I`m having mine replated at cost of $250.00 with a lifetime warr. as long as I own my truck. I too have duals, this should not cause the rust in any case. It just cheap plating that not done right. Lariat#1

Exclamation

The bumper on my '98 rusted too. Just little spots on the bottom of each side, and quite a bit on the backside. I went to the dealer a few times about it, and they kept polishing it using chrome polish. That did a great job of getting rid of the rust, for a while. I eventually had the bumper replaced under warranty. This new bumper is black on the back (paint?/rustproofing?), and hasn't rusted yet. I think it's been about 6 months now.
