Removing mirrors

I have to replace the whole mirror assembly since thieves stole the mirrors(funny they only took the mirror itself) so I ordered a complete replacement lower profile mirror. So far I have removed the door panels, unscrewed the three nuts holding the mirror, and disconnected the connectors for the mirror and light bulb turn signal. I have the two small connectors completely out of the housing but the large black connector for the turn signal bulb is hard to get out.

jcs, That link says sorry also. Be glad they just stole the mirror part. To take the hole thing would mean gaining access to the cab, inwhich case the truck would probably go with the mirror.

jcs, Still not working. Post the pic in your gallery and then post it here. Your puter is saving that address so you can see it, but we cant.

JCS, Remove the cable from inside the door. Factory mirrors come with cable already attached to the mirror. It's really easy to get to if you carefully pull down the thin foam paper from the top of the door near the window opening.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I do believe that's the correct connector. I can't remember but is is easier to remove/install with the window up or down.

Use the instructions at the Muth site:

Sorry to steal you thread but I have a related question posted earlier in the electrical forum--

Can anybody verify, for absolute certain that this power mirror plug is the same as the OE on a 2002?
