Angry My paint is cracking!!

Hey everyone,

When I was washing my truck yesterday, I noticed that my paint was cracking in two different places on the roof! Has anyone had this problem, and if so, did ford replace the paint or what?

Thanks,
Chris

Yes - plenty of people have had trouble. Last year I had this wonderful problem. I went to my local dealer and they sent me to the local Ford dealer here that has a body shop. After going through some red tape, they agreed to re-paint my entire truck and replace both doors due to the crack. My truck was in the shop for 4 months. If you are under warranty, TAKE IT IN NOW AND LET FORD KNOW THIS IS A MANUFACTURERES DEFECT. At first the Ford Customer Service Center tried to tell me the paint was cracking due to acid rain... of which I live in Nevada and we don't have acid rain. Some people are experiencing dealers who are not admitting to the paint defect and some (like me) had dealers who put up a minimal fight. See where you can get with your dealer.

PS: You are not seeing things, these are really cracks in the paint.

Ford MX - Another thing, read through "other body" for the last year and see what you can find. You will see others had these problems. I don't who actually followed through to have their trucks fixe, but I did and I am satisfied...
