Post Back door lock levers.

I hope that this will help anyone that had the same problem I have solved. I found that the safety lever that gets hit by the front door to ensure the back doors does not open when the front door is closed, wears through the factory tape and wears through the paint. I cut two (one for each side) pieces of flexible cutting board (if you cut one inch off the end and then round the ends like they were, your spouses won't notice), 1" x 2.5". Then I curled .5" of the end to form to the door. Once I got the curle to stay I put double sided pin striping tape on the front door side of the piece of cutting board and stuck it where I had removed the factory junck tape. There is enough space between the front door and the back door lever to allow the front door to close without incident. No more paint removal. ---Did any one else have this problem or was I the only one that got cheap tape put on????

Mine haven't done it yet!!...... but of course, I can count on one hand the number of times the back doors've been opened in the last 2 weeks! :-) I haven't opened them enough yet, I guess. :-)

GIJoeCam,
The lever that I am talking about is on the back door, and when the front door is closed, the front door frame hits this lever and keeps it pushed in so the back door can not be opened. You will see what I mean when you open the front door and look 8" up from the latch. Keep an eye on it.
