Hey all, Don't post much but I watch the boards alot. Still lovin my truck, but when we had a snowstorm and a little cold weather here in the NW last weekend I went out to start my truck, brushed the snow off, got in and started it, then noticed the outside mirror was split in two. Went to the dealer yesterday and you guessed it-no waranty coverage on glass! They told me there was a buletin on mirrors a few months ago saying not to fix them unless the damage was from a short in the wires on heated mirrors,(mine are not). Seems a small problem compared to what some others have gone through with waranty crap but I'm still pissed off. They want 78.00 just for the glass. (55.00 from Fordpartsonline), And told me it was tricky to R&R. Common to break em snapping it in. They will do it for 40.00 labor, then if they break it they have to replace it. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone else replaced the door mirror? Is it as dicey as they say? I may just be venting here, but any help or insight would be apreciated. Oh yeah, I got my first close look at the 04. Boy are they sweet. Almost makes me wish I'd waited. Later, Carl
