Adjusting Tailgate?

I recently had a huge accident in which I got T-boned by a police cruiser.

The truck was reassembled with a new frame and rear quarter panel.

It was put back together well, except for one thing. The tailgate, on the left side, sticks out about 1/16th of an inch from the body. It is misaligned and is very noticeable.

The dealership can't do it, but I think that's because they don't care and they are incompetent.

Is there any way I can adjust this? What tools are involved?

Thanks guys! Happy New Year!

There are usually 2 screws at the hinge point. You might need a torqs bit to loosen the screws. Then it should slide in and out after you loosen the screws. Hope this is of some help. Should be able to buy the bit at any autoparts store.
