Post Lightning Bumper Cover

Has anyone put a Lightning bumper cover on a chrome bumber? I need to know if you need to order extra brackets. I am pretty sure it will fit over the chrome bumper and that I will need to remove the top trim piece and the air dam but I am not sure if I need extra brackets.

Thanks,
Tim

I put on the Lightning front end. You have to replace the whole bumper, you can't just put on the cover over the existing bumper. It cost me about $1,800 and there is alot of parts involved.

Ford Rules All,

I have a 2001 Supercrew and it appears that the chrome bumper piece is the same as inner core piece that the Lightning bumper cover fits over. I have a printout of both a 2001 Lightning and a F150 and the inner core (17757) is the same number on both trucks, now I am not exectly sure what those numbers cross reference to.
The Lightning does have the same brackets to mount it to the frame but I think it looks like the F150 may need a couple other parts to mount the cover to the chrome bumper.
What year is your truck that required the complete package @ $1800? ($1800 is over my budget.)

Thanks,
Tim
