The F-150 will not be easy. For a first-timer, the biggest problem will be the height. The compressor problem--I've been out of it for a long time, but I think the minimum requirements would be a 5 HP 60gal. That's provided you paint with ~10-20 lb. air at the gun. (Unheard of by most auto-painting standards). Most would tell you you can't get a good dispersal with less than 40-50 lb, but that just ain't true. It takes a LOT more talent to spray with a minimum of air than to just turn it up and shotgun the vehicle with an overstroking technique. Every painter will have their opinion, but this is akin to BBQ'ing--everyone says their's is the right way.
