I had rail dust damage and acid rain damage on my truck. The dealer repainted it under warranty. They did an excellent job.

Trouble is, all shops are not the same, so I'd find others who have had their vehicles painted there.

Sounds like a manufacturing defect. I think Ford should pay for the new paint.

Same thing with my first 2000..it had acid rain damage all over the roof (like the moon)...it was hard to see except up close. Dealership asked if I wanted it repainted..of course I said no. So they agreed to replace the truck (with assistance from Ford). New truck arrived 7/31..it had a few spots of acid rain...but not as bad. I walked their lot while I waited for them to carefully buff the roof/hood...many of the F-150s and Expeditions had this problem (darker colors).

I wish FORD would do a better job of protecting the paint during shipping.
