The rubber seal on the top of my back window (at the corners) looks similar to yours. I was concerned at first..but it has never leaked.

Ditto on my rear window seal.

Also the plastic trim along the bottom edge of my tailgate is coming off.

I have the same problem with the back window seal on my 99 F150 Supercab. A co-worker of mine has a 97 F150 and his seal is fine. I'm not sure it would worth the trouble to have it fixed. The dealer would probably screw up something else.

Thumbs down

Same here gents.

It seems we all got the "Y2K 1/2 @$$" bug.
My bother-in-law has a '97 and the rear window seal cannot be seen protruding like ours. Among other problems I have experienced so far it seems the 2000 models got hurried through production to prepare for retooling for the 2001.
I say Job1 stopped at '99 for Y2K is JobNONE.
Just my .01
Thanks for the read.

My seal around the back window looks screwy also and the trim gaps out away from the cab.
My father's 2000 also did this until my brother (a body man)installed his new window with a slider and fixed it.
My theory is "it don't leak so don't fool with it."

My '99 window seal is the same but, it doesn't leak.

If you're going to be picky, try this.

Stick your finger in the gap between the top of the front bumper and the fender on each side(where the bumper comes around the side of the truck). I can get two fingers in the right side and only one in the left. I've tried this on four late model F150's, all the same, then I stopped. Couldn't take it, anymore.

This shall be known as 'Crooked Bumper'.
(Since, I didn't get to name "Door Cracks".)

No need to thank me

Don't get confused the "Crooked bumper" is really a feature. You see if your truck has been in a collision then the bumper will be replaced straight. So if your bumper is straight then your truck has been in a collision LOL!!!

Its easy to adjust the bumper, I did mine because of the push bar install. Used a ruler and a couple of jacks...

Raoul,

I thought I was the only one that had this "feature". My 2000 is off as well. I thought it was the grill that was off, but now that you mention it it almos has to be the bumper........

Gee.....thanks......

The rear window on my truck is the same, but I have one up! At high speeds, ie. 60 and up, my front window whistles, LOUDLY! Turning up the music is not an option, the longer you drive, the louder it is.

It looks like it's right behind the ceiling console. Anyone have this one?

Cool

Raoul,
Are you sure that's not the left fat finger syndrome?

My 99 F150 rear window seal sags also. My co-worker has a 97 and the seal is perfect, however, he has door cracks and I don't. I wish Ford had used the same rear window style that is used on the Super Duty trucks.

My truck was blessed with the crooked bumper syndrome also (and leaky back window, and door cracks). I hooked a come-a-long to a tree and pulled it down/out, mainly because the air dam was rubbing after installing the 8" wheels. And no, I didn't screw it up, it looks better now than being uneven. My tailgate handle looks like new, so it was probably broken before I got it.

my y2k window seal is perfect.bumper is also fine.but I have this strange bulge in the sheetmetal (size of a dime) on the left hand side of the rear window. It had to have been there when I bought it because I discovered when I was washing it 2 days after I bought it.I did buy this truck brand new and I can't figure out what would cause this bulge.Anyone else have this?
