Hey have a white 2000 F150 and i think there may be a defect with the paint or something. On the back of the truck between the tail gate and my right brake light the paint has like a 2 insh crack in it like i got hit there but it wasnt hit and the paint is just cracking and looks like it is near chipping. Anyone hear about factory paint defects on 2000s?

 

Unfortunately, a good majority of the F-150's roll off the lines with minor paint imperfections.

Many people have complained about paint cracks in the 'gutters' on the roof as well as on the hood.

The problem is cure time... It sounds as though you may have a warranty issue on your hands but, if it's a 2000, you may be outside the bumper to bumper

In short, the paint problem that you're experiencing is far from uncommon.
