can you paint a chrome grill frame?

i was wanting to paint my chrome grill frame & headlight bezels white ( like the eddie bauer ) . will the paint flake off in time? has anyone done this?

I've painted my grill and bezels before with no problems
sand ,prime and paint.
Rock chips from gravel roads after four years required a repaint .
