Post More Bumper Help!

I own a work series f-150. Is there a certain company to go with that makes XLT front/rear bumpers besides the dealership that might be a little less expensive? By XLT bumpers i mean chrome rear and chrome/black in the front. Thanks

I would try to get a used one from the internet or from a scrap yard. I think the aftermarket bumpers would be formed something like the L and would have to be painted to match the body, not chrome...

HMMM, Hey I have the Chrome Bumper with Black Trim, Also the Grey Valance, If you were in Texas I'd say swing buy and I'd sell ya all of it ( even the brush guard) I'm thinking of
switching to a ONE PIECE bumper brushguard combo with front reciever hitch and need to sell the front stuff ( rear also)

Check out Ebay. www.ebay.com
I've seen used 97+ F150 bumpers go for $75.00. You really can't loose, just be alittle patient. Every once in a while one pops up.

In the JC Whitney August 00 catalog issue No 639N-06 there are several listed. Page 14 has an original equipment style stainless steel rear bumpers for '97 F-150s for $219, made by Mid American Automotive Products). Also on same page there is a drop center style for $250 and a steel diamond-tread style for $140 (black or silver grey), manufacture unknown. In addition they have another on page 205 listed for $430 (ouch!) made by Automotive products Inc. Hope this information is helpful.

The bumpers listed were chrome except for the diamond tread style.
