Do you mean take the mirror assembly off the door - or to take the glass out of the mirror housing itself?
Taking the housing off the door involves taking off the door panel - look for a how-to for upgrading the speakers, very easy to do.
Taking out the glass is a bit more tricky. I did this to try and stop the mirror shake on my driver's side. I was semi successful, but it took a bit of patience to put it back together!

You can go to www.muthco.com and pick the signal mirror as if you were buying it, and when you come to the product page, the instructions are available for download in pdf format.
This gives faily detailed instructions on door removal for the various cab configs, and how to remove the mirror head from the door, and how to remove the glass from the mirror head.
