Do you mean take the mirror assembly off the door - or to take the glass out of the mirror housing itself?
Taking the housing off the door involves taking off the door panel - look for a how-to for upgrading the speakers, very easy to do.
Taking out the glass is a bit more tricky. I did this to try and stop the mirror shake on my driver's side. I was semi successful, but it took a bit of patience to put it back together!
