Post Bumper covers

I was looking to put a bumper cover on the front of my 2000 XLT. The question I have is if I ever decide to take it off, does it scratch up the existing bumper? Thanks, Craig

I test fit my cover before having it painted, just to be sure. When I removed it to drop it off at the body shop, there were some scratches already at the ends. I could only guess that after several thousand road miles, it would be real similar to what a pickup bed looks like after you remove a drop-in liner. Don't forget that most kits also require that some mounting holes be drilled at the bumper ends, in the wheel well opening. Ah, what the hell. You'll never take it off later, anyway. They look way better than stock and you won't want to go back.......
