Exclamation Question about Mirrors

I'm looking for replacement mirrors with turn signal for my 1999 F-150. So far I've found some for sale but they're heated with signal's but are for a 2001 F-250. Does anyone know if they'll work.

I'm not sure if they will work, but did you try ebay? There are always lots of mirrors on there.

The mirror itself or the entire head ?

The mirror glass alone, you can get these at www.muthco.com

The entire head with the LED in the edge, hold on to your wallet when you get the price from fordpartsonline.com or fordpartsnetwork.com or eomfordparts.com.

The entire head with the LED in the edge I think is something like 280 to 330 per head, and Ford stopped stocking the glamor caps in color, so you would need to paint them also.

There are a few options for towing mirrors with signals in them, but they are huge ( as they should be ) and cost much less.

Let us know which ones you are talking about.

Mine are just powered signal mirrors like the muth ones. What I'm wanting to know is will a 2001 F250 power, singal, heated mirrors glass or whole thing will work on my 99 F150. I don't really care about the heated part.

I don't think the glass from the smaller SD mirror will work in a F-150 mirror.
I thought the head was still slightly larger on the smaller of the 2 SD mirrors.

About the only way to know for sure to to stop at the local Ford dealer, and look at the size of the glass, if they have the smaller mirrors on a SD.

As for the complete mirror head, no. The sail panel is shaped differently then the sail on a F-150. The door has that drop to the front, that the F-150 does not have.

Good luck, let us know what you find out.

Is something wrong with your current signal mirrors?

Call MUTH and tell them. My mirrors were looking really bad when I bought the truck used. I simply called MUTH and told them and they quickly sent out a new set with an RMA. No charge! VERY fast service.

MUTH will insure that you are completley satisified whether you bought the truck new, they're out of warranty or anything else. They're reputation is incredible.

The reflective stuff on the back of the mirrors is coming off that's the only problem. It's hard to see out of. And why would Muth Co replace my mirrors. Do they make them for ford or something? I hope thats the case but doubt it.

I had the same thign happen with my after market mirror on the driver's side. They RMA'd both sides. I purchased directly, but I have heard of others having used trucks, and Muth honored the warr claim on them. Got me if this is the case, but a call is worth it to see if it is true.

Mine were about 12 months old, when the silver coat on the back of the mirror started to seperate, causeing the mirror to look tinted,

I was slow in the return of the RMA, being busy at the time, but Muth was still very paitent with me, even though I took forever.

Muth is an excelent company to do business with.
