Performance Body Lift Question
I just got my 3" body lift in themail.. I have been reading the instructions, and first off I am getting a little scared. I;m not sure what I am getting into. My main question is: It tells what you are supposed to do concerning the 4wheel drive stick shift. Well I have the electric shift on the dash. Not quite sure what I am supposed to do. If anyone knows if there is a difference? Or knows what to do? Also exactly what tools do I need. It says in the instructions. "Welding" Do you actually need to weld. I have access to air tools, but welding. That is above my league. So also a list of tools would be appreciated. thank you for any info.

Nothing to worry about...Don't have to do a thing as far as the 4x4 goes since you have an electric switch. They reccommend welding the bed spacers (the 4 zinc plated square spacers)to the the frame. I just drilled holes in the top of the spacers and bolted them to the ribs in the underside of the bed were they go. It will make more sense when you actually do it. You dont need any special tools except for a torx head socket for the bed bolts. Air tools will just make taking the bolts out that much easier but you don't need them. I installed mine by myself in one evening with basic hand tools but I have also done them before. Just follow the instructions and like I said, it will make more sense when you actually start to do it.
Good luck

Great White
Squanto is right on. I just received my body lift and will be installing it in a couple of weeks. And after reading the instructions, nothing to do with the 4WD switch. As for the spacers I will get the truck to a welding shop to get them tacked to the frame. If not available, Squanto's idea seems to be great.
