Does anyone own a power rear slider? I'm thinking of having one installed on my super cab, my 2 darling girls like to open it but forget to close the ****ing thing when they get out. Hense rain comes in. Do you like yours?

They are real cool when they are new. Like everything else they need to have a certain amount maintaning. If you live where it is cold they dont like the cold of winter at all. They seem to collect the dirt in the summer. And the replacement parts are rediculously priced. Other than that they are neat. I have put in several of them and I have worked on about half of those since putting them in. Usually the people wont clean them out. Or lube the drive cable.

I've had my power slider since I bought the truck. It works flawlessly. However, I don’t really have any experience with very cold weather. It may have an effect, but I don’t know. It seems it should be as reliable as any other power window. Here is the web site for the slider.

I have one on my '97. I really like the thing (so do my two collies).

Can't agree with the previous posts about winter problems. Mine seems to work fine in cold weather, but now that it's hot outside, it doesn't want to open very easily or sometimes, not at all.

I would welcome some cleaning/maintenance tips from the poster who installs them.

Hey, thanks for all the comments and opinions. The web site was helpful as well. To my suprize, there is no local dealers, I guess I will have to drive about 45 min. to get one installed. I am looking forward to haveing this option on my truck. Again, Thanks for the comments.
