Post is a bed swap possible?

i am just wondering if it is possible to swap a styleside bed and put on a flareside bed.

It was done at Jim Click Ford in Tucson, AZ. I was at the body shop and a 97 LOBO (the same as our F-150 but, (built for sale and use in Mexico) was getting the Flareside bed installed.

You didn't list your truck, but my understanding is that you've got to have a 6 foot bed. The flairsides only come in that length.

out of curiosity I looked at my neighbors truck (97 styleside SB) as compared to mine. Looks like the six bolt holes will match up on the frame so should be an easy swap....one very, very important note....flareside rear bumper is different from styleside so you would need one of those too.

thanks for all the replies. ive already got as rear bumper off a 1999 sport flareside and an A.R.E. tonneau cover.ill let you know how things go.

It should work out fine if you have the short box styleside.

I don't see why it shouldn't work if you have the short box style side good luck to you and let us know how it turned out.
