I was doing some shopping this evening after work and when I was done I came out to find someone had KEYED MY TRUCK!!! Two huge scratches on the hood of my month old F-150. My heart dropped to my knees as soon as I saw it. This may not be the place, but I had to vent to someone!

Languru, sorry to hear about your truck. It sickens to here how people have no respect for others property. They are on earth to cause trouble and steal oxygen, period. I hope you can find a cost effective way to make repairs, good luck.

 

Thanks...luckily I used to do paint and body work and I know I could fix it a lot cheaper than my deductable. Still pisses me off though!

Every day when I walk out to the parking lot after work (I teach high school) I do a walk around looking for key scratches. I teach in a 9th grade building so none of the students park with us. I don't even want them to know what kind of vehicle I drive. The other day some boys asked if that cool white Ford pickup was mine. I hesitated then admitted it was. I told them why I don't like students knowing which truck is mine. They said "Mr. T, we might key a Chevy but would never touch that beautiful Ford!" Makes me proud of today's youth!

I am glad to hear that at least some people have respect for other people's property. This is the first time this has ever happened to me and it is quite disturbing. I did however order the paint and should have this incident cleared up by next weekend. I knew I learned paint & body for a reason! LOL
