Removing the front bumber.

It looks like my front bumber will come off if I just remove eight screws. Is that the case, or am I in for a surprise? See signature for truck.

Cool Bumper

Howdy Greencrew. We just removed mine and then reinstalled it about 4 months ago. Two people makes it easier not to scratch it and yes, if my memory serves me, it was only 8 bolts. A very easy removal, but watch the alignment/position of the bumper when you reinstall it. It's easy to get it a little crooked. Steve

Thanks Steve, that's the confidence I needed to loosen the bolts.

I'm always scared to touch the truck. I can screw up the easiest thing.

When I rotated the tires last I parked it closer to the center of the garage. At one point I opened the back drivers side door, and when I closed it the rope that releases the garage door from the opener got caught in the door when I closed it and I didn't see it. Almost tore the garage door off the celing when I moved the truck.

Hey guys, I know this is an old tread, but do you know that size the bolts are on the F150? I need to remove the front bumper and its not near me at the moment. What other tools do I need? screwdriver? any special sockets that would be needed? I would need to buy these tools before heading out to my truck 80 miles away.

Any help would be appreciated.
