is there a Difference between 97 and 01 HUs?
Ok here's the deal, I installed a system in my 01 F150: amp, sub, 4 speakers, and wired it all to the OEM HU.
Got the same exact amp/sub, for a friend and his 97 F150, and the install shop he went to said they can't wire the HU to the amp....WTF? wouldn't they just use line level converters like they did on mine and run the wires? Please help, I don't want to have my buddy dissapointed and POd over the setup.

Yeah, they changed the wiring harness for 98+. If I'm not mistaken, there is an adapter that is available. You might check with your local Best Buy, Circuit City, or call Crutchfield for a part. I'm pretty sure they can take care of you.
