Thumbs up Seen the sound system options for '03?

Hey everyone,
I just picked up a sales brochure today at the local Ford place for the 2003 F150's. Has anybody else picked one of these up and seen the sound system options available in 2003? If so, go to the page on the 'new' STX model. It has a factory Kenwood MP3 deck with MegaMotion LCD display. Very cool! Go a few pages further and see the optional system for Lariats, which is a Pioneer Audiophile dual media indash 6CD/cassette unit. Also cool! And finally, go to the next to last page and see the optional indash GPS unit with CD. I want one of each of them. Has anybody got any of these models yet for '03 with any of these systems? I've seen an Explorer SportTrac with the Pioneer sound package in it and it looked good. Somebody let me know if you've got one or comment on how Ford is really moving up in the world of audio. Thanks.

I've got an STX packaged 2003 on special order, that has the Kenwood MP3 player.

I wished I knew what model it actually was so I could look it up online!

I was looking at the picture of the stereo from their catalog and comparing it with the pictures listed on Kenwood's website. It appears to me to have the exact same faceplate as their DVD capable model. I can't find any STX's on dealer lots to see what they really have, but thats very interesting, because you can buy an LCD display for that model of Kenwood very cheaply.

I'm suspecting that maybe the picture in the catalog may not actually represent the correct Kenwood stereo. Especially since the catalog says it supports MP3 and the Kenwood site doesn't mention it.

Well, I was incorrect about which radio it was. I was running under the assumption that it would be an active model, but it is a discontinued model. However, from what I can tell it is a very nice unit.

My STX just arrived, and I cannot be happier! The audio system appears to be completely non-stock, it sounds like a well put together aftermarket system. It almost sounds like it has an amp running too, but not positive on that. The audio system in the STX is FAR superior than the systems in my coworkers' Lariats. Now all I need to do is pick up a Sirius reciever for the Kenwood Z828. The STX package, in my opinion is WELL worth its cost!

Interestingly, the radio setup on this appears to actually be a double din instead of a din and a half. You can see this in the pictures in my signature.
