Replacing Antena

I just purchased a 1997 F-150 with the Off Road 4x4 package - so it sits higher. I like the view of the road from the height, but everytime I pull into my garage, my antenna hits the garage door. Before I start leaving a permanant mark, anyone have ideas on a replacement or a way to shorten it?

18" billet antenna mast - lower than the cab. I did this install a couple of weeks ago. You can buy the Navigator antenna base, which is chrome, retrofit a chrome bolt cover, and then the billet antenna screws on. Do a search for Navigator antenna - the post was in the L forum a couple of weeks ago. Whenever it quits raining long enough to wash my truck, I will get some pictures of mine on here.

If you want to replace the entire antenna, rumor is that you have to reove the entire fender!!
