I started the engine and the CD was off. The CD player started making noises like a cassette tape deck makes that is chattering at the end of a tape. It continued doing this for several minutes, I shut off the engine and then started it back up, all was OK. The next day when the engine started the CD player was also off------there was a message on the display that said " Bad Disk" (there was no disk in the deck) This happened two different times but seems to be OK now------What caused this and should I get a new CD player before the warranty runs out next week. Why would the CD player run wth the **** turned to the off position as the ignition is started

 

Get it checked before the warranty ends. You have nothing to lose by going but may get stuck with a bad player if you don't.
