Question Pioneer XM install??

How involved is the actual installation of the Pioneer XM radio receiver on the F150?? I plan on running the wire for the antena out the third brake light on the rear.
Is it an easy install or should a shop do it??
How about setting up the service once the install is done??

Thx

same here,very simple
ive got the 7300 head 900 xm tuner
and terk antenna on roof through
3rd brake light.
as far as service you can do it online
or on the phone, online u get a discount
for the activation.its 14.99 on phone
or 9.99 online i think.u just need ur radio id
# which is on the xm box or channel 0 on the radio.
takes 30 min or less to get turned on,just have to leave
the radio on.

Pioneer

Its not a head unit it is a reciever. It has a wired remote that mounts to the dash. I had mine mounted under the AC control ****. Everything works.

It was already in my truck when I bought it. I took it out because I did not have the Antenna and did not want to pay fees. This is one that uses a FM Modulator (That comes with it as well). I cannot say for sure if it will plug into a Pioneer head unit or not.

It's the GEX-FM903XM...

I also have the same set-up for sale (less the XM tuner since I just upgraded to a HU that was XM ready). (I have the wiring from the XM tuner, the modulator, and the display screen/remote)... all of it is for sale if anybody needs one.

Check Pioneer's website for the exact specifications on that FM903XM.
