HU Installation Kit

I am sure this question has come up before. I searched using the term installation, but had no luck.

I going to install an aftermarket Hu in my 1997 F150 ext cab. I am looking at using a Scosche install kit and wiring harness but I am not sure which one to use.

I think the ones I need are

FD02 for the wiring harness

and FD1325 for the install kit.

the scoshe wiring harness is fine but i dont recommend their installation kit.... i bought one from walmart for 10 bux and it didnt seem to be as strong as other installation kits i have seen.... i returned the kit after realizing the head unit fit a lil loose with the scoshe installation kit and then i went to circuit city and they gave me an installation kit, yes it was 10 bux more (20$), but it is much stronger and durable.... and it fits tight into the dash and the head unit is a perfect fit... just my 2 cents....good luck with your install

In my experience, Metra installation kits are usually what reputable car stereo shops carry.

That's what I've always used anyway.
