Stock head with an amp?

Can you use the stock 6-disc head with an amp or EQ and if you do would it sound good with new speakers in the front doors and the stock in the back and some 10's under the back bench?

yes you can do it. and it shoudl sound pretty good depending on which speakers and amp you use. although if you replaced it with a better head unti it can and probably would sound better.

stock head unit w/ sub?

keeping the stock unit & cd changer but changing the speakers and adding a sub sounds like a good deal and a great upgrade

I've seen numerous posts suggesting several speakers and even read a post on how to remove the door panels. But I've seen only a few post on sub units.

the clarion & the center console subs are both powered and both are great units, but I dont have a center console and cannot afford to loose the room in the front for the clarion

so what choices do I have, I've seen a Q- logic custom box that comes w/ two 10" subs and a box from SUBBOX.net that holds one 10" sub (sub not supplied)both boxes are non-powered and both mount in the same place under the rear seat.

Now my question is how difficult is it to install one of these boxes and an amp to the factory hu?

does someone make a connector similar to the one clarion uses?

Thanks in advance

you guys are doing a great job
