Pioneer 7400 or 9400?

I am looking at the Pioneers and actually have narrowed down to the 7400 or the 9400. I reely like the 9400 with its 13 EQ bands and the ability to tone either the front or rear channels. Now, before I get bombarded with the "price is much less for the 7400" I can get a 9400 for right around $320... Is it worth the extra cost for the 9400 over the 7400, rather would you pay the $80 or so more for the 9400?

Anyone with either of these units please respond.

Thanks in advance,
Chris (ReelWork)

I actually have both (the 9400 in my Ram and the 7400 in my Expedition)....the 9400 is a great CD player and so is the 7400. For $80 more though I would go with the 9400....the display is much better and it gives you unlimited control over your system. The only draw back is that its so complex it takes a while to get it tweeked to your system...I have had mine for 6 months and I still find myself adjusting different things on it....but then again I may just be going deafer and deafer.......

ReelWork, I have the Premier 930 which is basically the 9300 with 6v pre-outs. I think I would defintely go with the 9400 if you can get it for that cheap. The customization of the thing is incredible.

The only bad thing I can say about it is that the display sucks in bright sunlight. It's extremely hard to read if there is any glare on it. But I usually had everything set on it the way I wanted before I got out in the bright light so I only needed to change the XM station or advance my cd track which was not a problem.

The 9300 also doesn't play MP3s, and if you don't burn MP3 CDs the 9300 can be found on Ebay for around $300. Like Sapo said its just like the 9400 in everyother way.

Also the stearing wheel remote that comes with either the 9300 or 9400 just plane sucks! I sold mine on Ebay and bought one of the little credit card sized remotes off of there for around $20. Any Pioneer car stereo remote will work with it.
