Question F150 to F250 SD stereo swap?

I just bought a 2000 f250 Super Duty and want to upgrade the existing stereo to one with a cd player in it. I've found a few factory units for sale at good prices but mostly these come out of f150's.

My question is this; Is the f150 unit (in this case a 6cd changer and assorted goodies) going to fit in my f250 dash correctly? I saw at least one post that said he thought it would work but I'd like to be sure before spending the cash.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me on this.

Unhappy Please try again...

Sipde,

For some reason I can't read your reply...all I see is a quote of my original post.

I'm anxious to hear what you have to say about this so please try again if you would.

Thanks.

Beau,

I believe Sipde was 'experimenting' and didn't respond.

Personally, I don't know the answer to your question but, I have contacted a buddy of mine that has changed his stereo in his superduty. I asked him specifically what you had asked in the original thread.

I know, in the meantime, you might post the same question in the superduty forum and I believe you'd get some really quick answers.

Best of luck...

Wink Thanks for the advice...

Rock...

Thanks for the advice. I posted the same message on the Superduty board so we'll see what happens.

Nice King Ranch by the way...

Beau,

Not a problem. Thanks for the compliment as well...

I haven't heard back from my buddy that lives in Minnesota as of yet because I think he is on a business trip in Europe and has no access to his email. Hopefully you'll hear something from the SD guys...

I'll post his reply if and when I hear something.

Unhappy Ooops!

Sorry about the bad post, I had a bit of a problem..
The radio swap shouldn't be any problem at all, the connections and mounting are the same on both vehicles.
